If a bad person who is going to fail a name check is already in the country, then name checks are not going to deter him from doing his thing. Just because a name check is pending without a GC means nothing to a potential bad guy.
If a foreigner tries to become a governor or tries to join a govt agency he goes through a lot more special screening than just name checks. It should be up to the FBI to fail or pass a name check and all benefits should be revoked if the FBI fails a name check. This is going to be rare and there is no need to fight the battle for somebody who fails a name check (which is where your argument is so extremely stupid). It happens in other spheres too, sometimes people lose their jobs after many years if the company finds that you falsified information like degree etc.

Of all the things you said to support your argument, the first part of your latest mail will kill any support you might get from any normal person. Did he predict, EB2 with PD2006 will be processed before EB2 with PD 2003. Come on Guys, Give me a break and stop this rubbish. What did he predict and on what basis. A green card application requires enormous amount of efforts and money from the beneficiary and his/her employer. People who are waiting for 7-8 years now would have had already spent average $15,000-$20,000, in maintaining their statuses and keep the Green Card process going on. Being stuck in a green card process keeps us bonded with 1 employer, job type etc.
We need to know if there is any light at the end of the tunnel. We need to know for how long we have to live our life in limbo. If there is hope than we need to be patient and plan to live like that for another 1-2 years. But if there�s no light at the end of the tunnel than we need to move on with our careers and other family commitments. Only your office and USCIS can help us by releasing statistics on the number and categories of applications pending with USCIS people waiting in this category can plan their lives accordingly.
It will be a great help if DOS or USCIS could tell us about the number of AOS application pending at USCIS along with their Categories(EB-3, EB-2, EB-1) and chargeable country.
We have been waiting for a decade and continue to wait would it be reasonable to request you for some guidance with regards to the Visa allotment. I request your office to provide some statistics on home many Adjustment of Status applications are pending at USCIS.
We understand that you work with in the limits of the law as set by the Congress and are limited by various constraints that are beyond your agency realm of work. We appreciate your hard work and sincerely thank you for all the hard work.

Hi Guys,
I have a concurrent filed application (140 still pending) dated back to Oct 2004 and another I-485 application from July, 2007 from different labor but a recently approved 140. My current EAD & AP is based on the first 485 (Oct 2004) which are due for renewal in next 4 months. Now I want my EAD/AP to be based on July 2007 I-485 (second one) since underlying 140 is approved. Here is my dilema:
1. When I renew EAD/AP should I check that its renewal or initial application option.
2. How can I make sure (atleast try) the new EAD/AP will not be tied to old 485 but the new one (will send the new 485 receipt & 140 approval notice).
Thanks for any suggestions/thoughts you might have.

I have a question on your solution#4) "granting citizenship to people who have stayed in US for 10 years by rules to pay taxes". The 10 years ----are you talking about several years of study plus several years of working in US in H-1B visa ONLY or for any people who have legally stayed in US for 10 years??? I raise this question because I am curious to know whether I will fit this category. I was a foreign student in US for 10 years and pay foreign student tuition fee in full for 10 years. The first 6 years in several degrees and then back home and then come to US again for professional doctorate degree in 4 years. Originally I find employer to file me the H-1B visa but the quota for Master degree or above is full and then I back home until now. I am sure someone has similar situations to me!!
From other forum, someone said that it is extremely difficult to legalize the illegal aliens due to recent huge economic recession. But if each illegal aliens give non-refundable $5000 immigration entry fee to the country, the country will have about $60 billion fixed income. Then I immediately have thought about if our international students who have stayed in US for 5 years or above give more immigration entry fee to the country, the country will have tremendous cash flow into the economy and may help the economic crisis. It is rather unfortunate that people on consular process track despite the fact that they have approved I-140, yet they couldn't be allocated visa while other people on adjustment process could file their I-485 when everybody PD became current. don't you think it is rather unfortunate.

I called Vonage Customer service , If you signup Vonage World there is no 5k Min. limit. Its unlimited. Guys please don't post the wrong info.
