Hi everyone ,
i have three question please please anyone answer ....
1 - i have previously applied but was returned due to pd not current , what to file in the form where it say if u have appllied before ? ( i am filing on my own this time )
2 - should the salary be there on employment letter . if so the present day salary or the one with labour approve ?
3 - i have an A# when my file was returned should i use that or leave it blank wherever it is asked also my wife have TIN number is that what i am supposed to write where it ask her to give her SSN
i will appreciate anyone answering any question please

The employment letter should state the salary and should also say the job is full time and permanent. Also include general job description and job title matching the labor cert.
You should include your A# wherever it is asked for. You do NOT put the taxpayer ID # instead of SS#, leave it blank.
Regarding your first question. I would suggest the truth is always the truth and check the yes box to an application being filed before and add a short explanatory note with it.

Why do you think so...coz I'm in that state. My spouse who is the primary applicant got the card and my application is still in review ???

If a family member's derivative adjustment of status application has been pending in excess of 30 days from the approval date of the principal applicant's Form I-485, please submit to cisombudsman.publicaffairs@dhs.gov:

�A copy of the Form I-485 receipt notice for the derivative; and
�Any other evidence that is pertinent to the case.

Everyone knows that increasing green card numbers will be best solution. In that also if we ask too much we may not get anything. Double the number of annual Gc plus exclude dependents will be enough for reducing retrogession but that may not eliminate. But waiting period of 2 to 3 years can be reasonable for most people. I am sure one more chance will come for increasing H1b numbers. That time we can try for GC increase also.
But I am supporting the flower Campaign for protesting the VB mess up though it will not solve the problem

Lufthansa is another option for no transit visa, cheaper ticket than NW, Emirates or Singapore airlnies, little bit security check at Frankfurt when returning .....
with emirates, there is a route via dubai (no torture) and one via hamburg + Dubai. I traveled via the second one twice on emergencies. you are ushered in a square box of a building with barbed wires and armed (fully armed and body armored, hand gunned, you-mongrel-looking) guards. There is even a special
barbed wire line for 'special immigrant' (read asylum or illegal migrants) inside though i have not seen it used. then comes double wammy security checks (show-me-your-baby'smilk-is-edible type). There is one bathroom for each gender that has useless (over 10 months)faucets and one bar (no shop for food). the layover reminded me of concentration camps. But it was still better than $274 ;-)

Good to see that there is some activity going on our cases..i got the response form USCIS saying that "the case is pending at the USCIS office" dose this means they transfered the case to local office? or still at NBC..dose your message says that the your case has been transfered to "local USCIS office" or just "USCIS office"?..
My online status says transferred to USCIS office, BUT the mail I got in response to my lost application inquiry stated LOCAL uscis office and that you will be called for interview whenever they are ready.

Does anyone know if vonage can be used as a phone card. Say if you want to make an international call from your cellphone using vonage account.
I dont think they have the calling facility with the reference to vonage account.....I have chatted with customer rep and he confirms me the same....this was few days back...not sure now...if any body has new info, update here.......

Saimrathi, you are posting the same message on all threads. Anyway, I am sure some of the media will pick up the story and write about it. I think there are benefits from this campaign. The name Immigration Voice is out there. We may get more members of our community to join us and participate in future campaigns and we can learn from experience on how to carry out future campaigns, protests etc. We had to speak out in some way on what happened to us with the USCIS Visa Bulletin fiasco. I believe it was worth it for all these reasons.

He/She posts the same thing across three threads and whats the point of the boxes being opened by Mr Gonzalez or being received by him intact. You must be trying to play spoil sport here or just acting childish. I think this is a good initiative. If we see visa violations being done we need to report it. The reporting has nothing to do with India Indians or Indian companies. I am sure Cognizant IBM CapGemini are as good or bad as TCS Wipro or Infy. Plus people opposing this should realize that these same L1 are applying under EB1 category by utilizing the loophole and this is one of the bottleneck for people like us who are playing by rules. They are also violating wages standards and pulling the market down. So I do not see any reason to discourage people from reporting against malpractices in H1 L1 J1 or B1 visa.

Why kill the messenger ?? Yesterday when the possibility of mid month retrogression was brought up every one said it is nonsense. Now every one seems to be accepting and reconciling to the fact that there is a possibility that mid month retrogression might happen.
Give it a day and see as it unfolds. Although I hope this is NOT TRUE , I will not be surprised if this is TRUE. It is better we know about it in advance, how depressing this might be, than caught by surprise.

We have no idea how many are legally porting from EB3 to EB2. I am sure many are trying but the data is not available. I dont know how you will move forward without such information.
